About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and empathetic Engineering Team Manager to lead one of our high-impact platform teams at Emplifi. These teams work on solving the most challenging engineering problems and building scalable reliable core platforms that empower product teams to deliver features with speed and confidence.
As a leader you will play an important role in shaping team culture mentoring engineers and driving agile delivery across initiatives that matter. You will champion engineering excellence while fostering an environment where creativity curiosity and collaboration thrive.
You wont be doing it aloneyou will join a fun sharp and supportive group of tech leaders who love solving hard problems together. If you are excited about building great tech and great teams we would love to meet you.
Were looking for candidates already living in the Czech Republic with a valid work permit as were unable to provide relocation support for this role.
What Youll Do Here
Leadership & Agile Delivery
- Implement agile best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure close collaboration within the team and with external stakeholders.
- Create a supportive psychologically safe team environment.
Team Development & Coaching
- Conduct regular 1:1s and performance conversations.
- Set growth goals and mentor engineers through career development.
- Facilitate problem-solving and decision-making guiding the team through challenges.
- Support hiring processes and ensure smooth onboarding of new team members.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with product managers designers and platform teams to ensure alignment.
- Participate in the engineering leadership team to identify risks opportunities and strategic initiatives.
- Drive and contribute to cross-team initiatives and shared goals.
Delivery & Execution
- Own team capacity planning execution and delivery predictability.
- Ensure the team delivers high-quality solutions that align with our product and engineering vision.
- Track and report on delivery health team KPIs and improvement plans.
Culture & Conflict Resolution
- Lead by example to foster a positive inclusive and accountable team culture.
- Address team conflicts with empathy and resolve issues constructively.
- Promote transparency in communication planning and progress tracking.

- Proven experience managing engineering teams in an agile environment.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles agile methodologies and engineering practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring individuals and teams.
- Ability to manage team delivery capacity and prioritization in alignment with business needs.
- Passion for building inclusive collaborative and empowered teams.
