UNE Partnerships are seeking an innovative and passionate AI Educator to join our team. This newly-developed role will drive the development and delivery of cutting-edge AI-focused training initiatives for schools and educators within the New England North West (NENW) region of NSW.
The Opportunity:
You will be instrumental in empowering teachers to effectively integrate AI into their pedagogy fostering a positive and successful learning experience for the next generation. This position maintains a strong focus on:
- Achieving educator engagement skill development and successful integration of AI outcomes.
- Delivering high-quality compliant and impactful AI professional development.
- Leading innovation and continuous improvement in AI education strategies.
Full time permanent position (part-time considered)

Location is flexible within the wider NENW the successful candidate must be willing to travel throughout the region
Key Responsibilities:
Educator engagement and progression:
- Prepare and deliver effective AI professional development and practical application support to educators across various modes including online blended and face-to-face workshops.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to implement support systems aimed at enhancing AI literacy and integration in schools.
- Initiate contact with educators to review progress and support them in overcoming barriers to AI adoption.
- Develop implement and monitor AI integration plans for diverse educational needs.
AI professional development & advisory:
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to design and develop comprehensive AI-focused professional development training for schools.
- Deliver engaging workshops train-the-trainer programs and small group training sessions to teachers.
- Collaborate closely with internal & external stakeholders contributing to strategic discussions and initiatives related to AI in education.
Compliance & record keeping:
- Build and maintain current knowledge of AI technologies educational best practices and relevant compliance requirements.
- Proactively adhere to record-keeping requirements for all educator-related activities using CRM software.
- Operate within UNEP policy frameworks and procedural requirements to ensure compliance.
Team development & culture:
- Apply behaviours and practices that foster creativity innovation collaboration and productivity within the team particularly in the context of emerging AI technologies.
- Apply problem-solving skills to resolve or improve specific issues related to AI integration.
- Participate in supported professional development opportunities to stay abreast of AI advancements.
Innovation & continuous improvement:
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of AI learning and assessment material and delivery strategies.
- Lead the implementation of innovative AI-driven teaching methods and tools to improve delivery and outcomes.
About You:
To succeed in this role you will have:
- Diploma or higher qualification in education technology or a related discipline with a strong preference for AI/Tech-related qualifications or demonstrated expertise.
- Demonstrated experience delivering training and professional development in Education (VET K-12 or tertiary)
- Demonstrated experience in educating across a range of study areas and delivery modes including online blended and face-to-face engagement models with a focus on technology integration.
- Demonstrated understanding of adult learning principles and engagement strategies to support a diverse community of online and in-person learners specifically in technology adoption.
- Demonstrated proficiency with learning technologies (LMS virtual classrooms) and AI platforms/tools and experience integrating generative AI into educational workflows.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of staff students management and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work flexibly problem-solve and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively and collaboratively in a team-based environment.
- Demonstrated willingness to embrace and drive organisational change particularly through the strategic integration of AI.
Other requirements:
- Australian Citizen Permanent Resident or hold a long-term Visa which permits full-time work.
- Current NSW Working with Childrens Check (WWCC) and National Police Check.
