Location: Oslo Norway (preferred); open to candidates based in Europe
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Lead Piping & Layout Engineer to lead and manage piping and layout design across our engineering this role you will oversee a team of 10-15 engineers ensuring high standards in design quality safety and functionality. As the Lead Piping & Layout Engineer you will play a crucial role in project planning and execution working closely with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure optimal layout and piping solutions. This role is ideal for a dynamic communicator and a technical expert ready to contribute to impactful projects across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead mentor and motivate a team of 10-15 engineers fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Design Oversight: Oversee and guide the development of piping and layout designs ensuring alignment with project specifications industry standards and safety protocols.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate closely with project managers and other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of piping and layout components.
- Quality Assurance: Review and validate designs and drawings ensuring compliance with technical standards quality expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear concise updates to stakeholders effectively communicating project progress and technical information.
- Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in piping and layout engineering processes implementing best practices to enhance design efficiency and quality.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant piping and layout engineering experience including previous leadership roles.
- Technical Proficiency: Solid engineering background with demonstrated expertise and a proven track record supported by strong references.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communicator with the ability to clearly convey complex technical details and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
- Location: Preference for Oslo-based candidates but open to qualified applicants within Europe.
