Top Japanese Internet Company Hiring DevOps Engineers- Full Remote- English Role
Job Title
Distributed Database DevOps Engineer
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Administration and operative work: databases deployment restart updates etc.
- Optimize operational processes costs and performance by the development of tools automations Infrastructure as a Code and pipelines.
- Oncall duties monitoring troubleshooting and incident/outage support.
- Collaboration with SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) / DBRE(Database Reliability Engineering) teams (reporting contacting) in order to ensure high reliability goals.
- Collaboration with Customer Service QA and other teams when required.
Experience and Qualifications
- DevOps Experience.
- Basic knowledge of infrastructure and networks.
- Basic knowledge of distributed systems or distributed databases.
- Experience in server instance building automation and maintenance operations using scripting languages such as Shell Python or Ruby and orchestration tools such as Ansible or Chef.
- Experience with observability (monitoring) technologies and best practices.
- Troubleshooting skills to evaluate the root cause Critical Incident Response and Postmortem Experience.
- System On Call Experience.
- Language o Conversation skills in Japanese (intermediate or advanced level required). o English skills (skills for written communication and reporting to internal and external developers).
Work Location
Tokyo- Full remote from Japan (Preferably from Tokyo as once a month you will have dinner catch up)
Salary
Upto 12Million JPY
Contract term
Permanent
