Finance Controller

WHAT WE STAND FOR:
Our mission is to improve the life of organic family farmers in the Amazon rainforest while providing ethical and healthier ingredient alternatives (such as Acai Acerola Guarana etc.) to the food nutraceutical beverage and cosmetic industries around the globe.

PURPOSE OF ROLE:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing company at an early stage of development in finance operations. As a Finance Controller you will handle key financial tasks and reporting to ensure smooth operations. You will have the chance to contribute to an evolving financial structure offering insights that drive decision-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Financial Operations
    • Daily Tasks:
      • Accounting for invoices and expenses (compliance with tax regulations)
      • Reconciliation of current accounts (clients and suppliers)
      • Accounting for payments and receipts
      • Uploading payments in home banking
      • Supporting financial and administrative matters
      • Liaise with Brazilian clients and partners to ensure compliance with local fiscal documentation including Nota Fiscal Eletrnica (NF-e) and Nota Fiscal de Servios Eletrnica (NFS-e)
      • Coordinate with internal teams and banks to manage documentation and mitigate payment risks
    • Monthly tasks:
      • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and income statement
      • Trial balance analysis and preparation of financial statements
      • Support in budget creation financial forecasting and variance analysis
  • Reporting
      • Cash flow reports to support business strategy
  • Administrative & Bureaucratic tasks

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Portuguese finance operations including invoice processing reconciliation and treasury management
  • CPA-10 certification (ANBIMA) or equivalent demonstrating proficiency in Brazilian financial products and regulatory standards
  • Familiarity with Brazilian tax documentation including Nota Fiscal (electronic invoicing for goods and services)
  • Experience managing compliance with Brazilian fiscal regulations is a plus
  • Experience in trade finance operations including import/export documentation and risk mitigation tools
  • Experience in financial controlling within a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelors degree inaccountancy finance management andeconomicsor a related field
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to present financial insights clearly
  • Proficiency in Portuguese and English
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic evolving environment
