ACM is excited to partner with a dynamic local government division near the base of the stunning Blue Mountains to find their next Economic Attraction Lead. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on the regions economy by shaping and delivering initiatives that create jobs attract investment and build a vibrant thriving community.
Your Role
As the Economic Attraction Lead you will contribute to the implementation of the Economic Development Strategy 2023-2031 working closely with internal and external stakeholders to:
- Develop and deliver innovative projects that strengthen the local economy and align with Councils strategic goals.
- Attract investment into the region while creating pathways for sustainable job growth.
- Provide strategic economic advice to influence decision-making and maximise regional opportunities.
- Research and analyse economic data to inform planning and communicate insights effectively to a variety of audiences.
- Foster collaboration with community leaders businesses and government agencies to drive outcomes.
What Youll Bring
To excel in this role youll need:
Essential Skills and Experience:
- A tertiary qualification in Economic Development or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in economic urban or regional development.
- Strategic analytical and organisational expertise with a track record of delivering complex projects.
- Strong data interpretation skills and experience tailoring insights for diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent communication negotiation and public speaking skills.
- A valid Class C Driver Licence.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in local government the public sector or a large organisation.
