About this Job
The mission of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center is to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach treatment goals and to return to more integrated community living settings. Pinecrest Supports and Services Center specializes in the treatment of people with comorbid intellectual and developmental disabilities and complex medical behavioral and psychiatric support needs.
Pinecrest Supports and Services Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Services Specialist 12 to play a vital role in protecting and supporting LDH Clients Rights. In this meaningful position youll advocate for individuals provide essential assistance and help ensure every client receives the respect dignity and care they deserve.

Minimum Qualifications
- Five years of social services experience; OR
Six years of full-time experience in any field plus two years of social services experience; OR
A bachelors degree plus two years of social services experience; OR
An advanced degree in a social sciences field social work education or counseling.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. Job Specification

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
- Serve as Administrative Reviewer for Minor Injuries of Unknown Source Investigations (MIUS).
- Review each MIUS form and associated documents for investigation for completeness and thoroughness.
- Resolve any discrepancies present in the investigation.
- Report signs of abuse and neglect to Adult Protective Services immediately.
- Determine probable cause of the injury based on evidence presented or contributing factors.
- Identify findings related to the incident.
- Maintain the timeliness necessary for the MIUS process and request extensions as necessary.
- Monitor compliance with MIUS corrective action plans issued by Client Rights Officer/MR/DD Regional Associate Administrator-Pinecrest and advocate for residents when necessary to obtain needed supports and services to prevent recurrence of injuries.
- Conduct observations in residential and programmatic settings to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
- Serve in a 24-hour on-call rotation for Incident Management and Customer Complaint activities after hours weekends and holidays.
- Complete special projects as required.
Position-Specific Details:Appointment Type:Probation Promotion Demotion Lateral Transfer or Detail to Special Duty. Preference may be given to permanent classified employees of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center.

Work Schedule: 8:00AM - 4:30 PM Pass Days: Saturday & Sunday
Compensation:Salary Depends on Qualifications.
