Job Description

AAMAs Prevention and Counseling Department is searching for a full time outpatient LCDC or LCDC Intern to work with our adolescent outpatient substance use disorder treatment program in Houston. You will be responsible for groups assessments individual sessions admissions treatment and discharge planning

To be qualified for this position you will need aLCDC or CI with at least 2000 hours and previous adolescent counseling experience with strong proven results. Associates or bachelors degree strongly desired. Must have proven abilities to interact well and build rapport with young people and their families. Strong desire for candidates with ability to speak Spanish.

Position is Mon through Friday with three evenings a week required. Background check fingerprinting and drug screening is mandatory. Prefer individuals with knowledge of the DSMV and ASAM criteria. CMBHS experience is a plus.
