FOOD PROCESS EXECUTIVE

culinary products

Location: Tuas

Working hours: Mon to Friday 8am to 5pm.

OVERVIEW

The Food Process Executive ensures the smooth transition of new food products from the development stage to commercial production maintaining quality and efficiency throughout the process. This role assists the direct supervisor in any activities related to new product/process development or improvement at the production level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Process Development and Optimization

  • Work with R&D in the implementation of new products R&D trials processes and improvements.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams in scaling up new food products from lab prototypes to full-scale production.
  • Design test and optimize production processes to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Identify and select appropriate equipment for production.
  • Conduct trials to validate equipment performance and process parameters.

2.Technical Transfer

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including R&D quality assurance and production to improve the project flow.
  • Facilitate the handover of new product(s) to ensure the smooth transition from R&D to production.
  • Translate lab-scale procedures and formulations into manufacturing processes.
  • Document formulations product and packaging specifications and any other information related to product / packaging development for process standardization and ensuring consistent product quality.
  • Train production staff on new processes and equipment.
  • Responsible for successful scale up and first production

3.Quality Control and Assurance

  • Establish maintain and update all SOP(s) to ensure full compliance to operating controls policies and procedures.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Troubleshoot quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct investigation for internal and external complaints.

4.Safety and Environment

  • Ensure all processes comply with safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety protocols.
  • Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma in Food Technology or equivalent.
  • Min. 3 years experience in food manufacturing environment.
  • Sound knowledge of GMP/HACCP/ISO22000/FSSC22000
  • Good understanding of food manufacturing processes equipment and technologies.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities with strong organizational and good interpersonal skills work ethic and positive thinking.
  • Good team player with good communication skill.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and work independently.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
