Job Description
YOUR JOURNEY AS A TRADER INTERN
Our 10-week internship programme in Amsterdam is your chance to experience life as a trader at IMC. As a Trader Intern you will delve into the proprietary trading landscape during a week of engaging and challenging classroom-based learning continue to hone your skills with a meaningful project and build a valuable network of IMC traders and engineers. Throughout the summer you will receive comprehensive support from dedicated internship trainers and a one-on-one mentor to guide you in your work and professional development. Your Core Responsibilities
- Generate new trading strategies
- Iterate current trading strategies
- Work on tooling functionality and/or visibility for specific use cases
- Hone your trading skills by working on a significant project desk shadowing and mock trading sessions
- Attend workshops trainings and other fun social activities alongside the full internship cohort
Your Skills and Experiences
- In your penultimate year of study in mathematics physics econometrics or a related quantitative field
- Experience in a programming language is a plus (e.g. Python Matlab or R)
- You thrive working in an environment where creativity teamwork and innovation are recognised and rewarded
- You want to make an impact on meaningful and challenging projects
- Outstanding analytical skills
- Genuine interest in financial markets (no prior knowledge or experience is required)
- Must be able to start the internship in June 2026
