You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe IT Product Design Engineer 3 is an experienced professional role that comprehensively identifies documents and demonstrates the optimal user experience through design activities/deliverables which are aligned with the business requirements and solution scope. This position works with a variety of software development teams. This person has well-developed leadership qualities and provides leadership and strategy on subject area best practices. This position crosses disciplines and business domains. The role of the user experience designer is complementary to and synergistic with the role of the business and functional analysts.
This individual works with divine guidance to provide or support technology that furthers the mission of the Church and reflects the eternal impact of the gospel.

Design & Prototype: Translate research findings and strategic insights into tangible design solutions including wireframes user flows interactive prototypes and high-fidelity mockups. Iterate on designs based on user feedback and usability testing results.
Quality Visual Design: Possess a strong command of visual design principles to craft intuitive and aesthetically appealing interfaces. This includes expertise in:
Typography: Selecting and arranging fonts for optimal legibility readability and brand expression.
Hierarchy: Structuring visual elements (size color contrast) to guide user attention and communicate importance.
Layout: Arranging elements for balance flow and clarity to enhance navigation and comprehension.
Color Theory & Application: Utilizing color psychology harmony and contrast to evoke emotions reinforce branding and ensure usability and accessibility (e.g. proper contrast).
Imagery & Iconography: Selecting and creating impactful visuals that align with the brand enhance the user experience and meet accessibility guidelines.
Lead User Research & Analysis: Conduct comprehensive qualitative and quantitative research (e.g. user interviews usability testing surveys A/B testing) to gain deep insights into user behaviors needs and pain points across all touchpoints.
Develop UX Strategy: Formulate and implement UX strategies that enhance user onboarding increase product adoption and ensure seamless feature integration. Align UX strategies with broader product and business goals ensuring user needs are balanced with company objectives.
Collaborate & Advocate: Work closely with product managers engineers marketing and other stakeholders to ensure design decisions are aligned with technical feasibility business requirements and a shared understanding of the user experience vision. Advocate for user-centered design principles and best practices throughout the organization.
Information Architecture & Content Strategy: Define information architecture and navigation flows to ensure content is easily accessible and understandable. Potentially contribute to content strategy ensuring content is relevant engaging and aligned with user needs.
Mentor & Lead: Potentially provide mentorship to junior designers guide design best practices and lead design thinking processes. Lead brainstorming sessions and ideation workshops to foster innovative solutions.
Measure & Optimize: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of UX initiatives and identify areas for improvement. Utilize analytics and data to inform design decisions and drive continuous improvement.
Stay Informed: Stay up-to-date on industry trends emerging technologies (e.g. AI XR) and UX design tools and methodologies.
