Job Description
Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Duration: 2 years (with possible extension)
Location: Torrance CA 90503
Shift: Monday Friday
Job Summary
Entry-level engineer role supporting product design testing and analysis. Works in a team setting to deliver engineering solutions ensure compliance with standards and contribute to process improvements. Responsibilities include verification validation and software tools development for GNSS StarFire receivers while supporting automation and defect resolution.
Major Duties
- Perform product design testing and analysis for assigned portions of projects
- Support feasibility testing and provide feedback to validate engineering designs
- Assist in drafting standards specifications and technical documentation
- Conduct inspections to evaluate quality safety and compliance of installations
- Identify process inefficiencies and support change management improvements
- Execute work within established project management plans and timelines
- Collaborate across engineering and non-technical teams for cohesive delivery
- Develop and maintain engineering test tools for GNSS StarFire receivers
- Support test automation features defect diagnosis and resolution
- Provide systematic analysis of issues and support software test verification
Skills & Knowledge
- Experience with C# C/C GitHub Microsoft Azure DevOps
- Understanding of software development life cycle defect reporting test execution
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with guidance to design implement and improve engineering solutions
- Competent in project planning risk assessment and scope management
- Effective communication and documentation skills for technical collaboration
- Ability to provide technical guidance when required
Preferred Skills (Stand-Out)
- Matlab Python SQL SQL Server Tools
- Experience with AWS / Microsoft Azure Cloud Services
- Awareness of UI/UX principles
- Agile methodology experience
- Strong reporting and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint)
Education
- Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering Computer Science or Computer Engineering
