Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS

Strong working knowledge and understanding of international pricing rules exchange transactions and procedures.

Solid Marine travel industry knowledge is an advantage

Native GDS reservation skills in order to create multi-segment multi-destination International itineraries

Willingness and ability to independently study/learn new skills and information

Ability to provide 1st level of support for customer service and technical issues

Excellent customer service and technical skills

Flexibility and adaptability; ability to thrive under pressure

Detail-oriented especially since the role entails working with multiple GDS geographies and fare structures

Verbal and written communication since scope is both calls and emails

Amenable to shifting schedules with potential for 24/7 operations

The mission of the CWT Travel Counselor is to Deliver the Perfect Trip so that CWT can sustain optimum results for clients and shareholders. You are specifically responsible for delighting the traveler/travel arranger building commercial value and strengthening the CWT brand in a way that balances the requirements of all stakeholders and positions our workforce as a key differentiator for our business.

CWT Energy Services a division of Carlson Wagonlit Travel provides specialized travel management solutions for organizations operating in oil and gas offshore and marine services and alternative energies in more than 150 countries and territories worldwide. Building on more than 25 years experience our professional consultants work closely with our clients worldwide to find the right solutions to complex travel needs. Our services range from reliable day-to-day logistics for large rotational crews and other personnel through effective contingency planning and crisis management to ongoing cost/performance optimization of travel programs.

Position Responsibilities

Proven ability to create international travel arrangements for Marine clients including air hotel and ground transportation. At least 80% of transactions will be multi-segment multi-destination international itineraries.

Ability to handle multi-cultural sometimes multi-lingual clientele.

Use available sources such as news agencies etc. to stay informed of current international affairs.

Understanding and expertise in international travel requirements i.e. visas and passports

Excellent communication skills and follow through required to advise clients of those requirements.

Operate with discretion within well-defined policy regular managerial review.

Utilize CWT preferred vendors to maximize profit and ensures compliance with the clients travel policy.

Attends staff and training meetings for ongoing updates in the travel industry and office procedures.

Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.

Adheres to CWT standards in delivering customer service including telephone etiquette and follows prescribed customer service escalation procedures.

Follows company procedures guidelines and standards in building Passenger Name Records utilization of tools productivity accuracy of work and attendance.

Performs other duties as required and assigned
