Job Description

Lead Senior IT System Administrator

  • Job Title: Lead Senior IT System Administrator
  • Salary: LKR 250000 or more depending on experience and passing of technical interview Bonus
  • Experience: 5 years or more and at least 2 years in a senior IT Systems Administration Role
  • Location: Colombo Sri Lanka Hybrid Working

Due to recent growth we are hiring Lead Senior IT System Administrator to join our team. This role will be reporting directly to the Head of IT & IT Infrastructure Support.

Purpose of role / Responsibilities:

  • Daily 1st 2nd and 3rd line support during UK working hours of all Windows based systems and applications including Office365 Azure Teams Exchange online Windows Operating systems and Active Directory.
  • Administration of all Windows based systems and applications including Office365 Azure Teams Exchange online Windows Operating systems and Active Directory
  • Implementation of Windows based systems and applications (e.g. Office365 Azure Teams Exchange online Windows Operating Systems and active directory)
  • Disaster Recovery and Business continuity of all Windows based systems and applications including Office365 Azure Teams Exchange online Windows Operating systems and Active Directory.
  • Regular checks of Governance Security and Threat management sections Office365 Online portal & other platforms ensuring all settings are in line with Terias & client security and audit requirements.
  • Administration and Deployment of Sharepoint systems.
  • Administration and Deployment of Intune System (Application Packaging etc).
  • Automated software deployment and administration using tools e.g. MSI GPO PowerShell scripting PDQ etc.
  • Configuring and maintaining Windows 10/11 pro & enterprise E5.
  • Server deployment administration and recovery using VMware and Centralized compute and storage.
  • Administration of Remote Desktop Server Environment and thin clients including Citrix Deployments for clients and staff
  • Lead and Deliver IT projects to specification and on time document and communicate with key stakeholders.
  • Resolve IT faults from helpdesk system regularly communicating progress with internal/external customers.
  • Completing daily checks and maintenance/improvement of all monitoring systems.
  • Manage and maintain clients and internal infrastructure which includes virtual environments which also encompass the Terias hosting services.
  • Monitoring of Anti-Virus and Anti-Spam management systems.
  • To undertake any other additional tasks that may reasonably be assigned by your manager.
  • These tasks are subject to change in accordance with the IT Departments Responsibility & client requirements.
  • Plan (with senior engineers & management) deploy and support the companys portfolio of products
  • Maintain accurate and up to date documentation on companys Wiki for internal deployment and client deployments
  • Identify opportunities for selling of companys services to existing clients and inform the sales manager
  • Responsible for the management of the assigned IT staff
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports to management
