We have been retained by leading PropTech start-up - WeMaintain who are on a mission to disrupt the Lifts & Escalators maintenance industry leveraging cutting-edge technology and innovation to redefine service delivery and operational efficiency. As the company continues to grow we are recruiting for a a dynamic Technical Engineering leader to drive technical excellence.
ROLE MISSION
The Head of Technical Engineering will be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of operations ensuring the seamless integration of IoT and AI-driven solutions. This role involves leading a team of engineers optimizing performance metrics and maintaining compliance with industry standards while fostering a culture of continuous innovation.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
As a key technical leader you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of engineering excellence by providing strategic direction innovation and operational oversight.
More specifically in this role you will work on:
- Technical Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute a technical roadmap aligned with WeMaintains business goals.
- Team Management & Development: Lead mentor and grow a team of engineers and technical specialists.
- Innovation & Technology Integration: Drive the adoption of IoT AI and predictive maintenance solutions to enhance service offerings.
- Operational Excellence: Monitor and optimize engineering performance metrics to drive efficiency and service quality.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to industry regulations safety standards and best practices.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product technology and operations teams to improve platform functionality and service offerings.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key technical representative for clients and partners ensuring technical needs and expectations are met.
- Industry Trends & Future Readiness: Stay ahead of emerging technologies and industry advancements to maintain a competitive edge.
IDEAL TALENT
- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Electrical Software Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Proven track record in a senior engineering leadership role within building maintenance IoT or industrial automation.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of mechanical electrical and/or software engineering principles.
- Leadership & Team Development: Ability to lead and grow multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Innovation-Driven Mindset: Experience with IoT AI and predictive maintenance technologies.
- Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with industry regulations and safety standards.
- Strategic Thinking & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to develop and implement technical strategies.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management: Ability to engage effectively with internal teams clients and external partners.
- Passion for Technology & Transformation: A forward-thinking approach to leveraging technology in maintenance and engineering services.
