Medical Manager - Oncology

RoleOverview:
Take the lead to develop and execute allocatedbrand medical strategy for both current and pipeline products up-to-date local medical education both internallyand externally provide scientific support for CE/local medical scientific support to internal and external customers inresponse to clinical scientific support to HEMAR forreimbursement and local the sharing of knowledge tointernal stakeholders e.g. through provision of training to help to ensurehighest standards of brand/therapy expertise in customer insights around key brand and marketplace themes/trendsetc. to MAF team CVT and CE HUB and EMEA teams to help optimise brand/therapystrategy decision making on current and future license indications and enableinternal and external customers to make informed decisions.
As Medical Manager you willhave the following areas of responsibility:
Customer/External Interaction
Respond appropriatelyto unsolicited requests for information and/or data
Meet with customers andresearchers on a regular basis through meetings conferences etc. to
oGatherinformation and insights on therapy area (inc. Competitor landscape) and theirmedical and scientific needs
oExchangedisease area knowledge and opinions in order to understand the emergingopinions
oIncreasethe customers understanding of Janssen products and processes (eg. clinicaldata IIS clinical trials compliance processes) according to their expressedinterests and needs and to seek their advice on the development of ourproducts.
oTokeep abreast of medical and scientific knowledge.
oDevelopmentand maintenance of a contact network with Leading Specialists.
oProactiveand reactive communication of medical scientific data to Leading Specialists.
oDeliverscientific and medical content for medical advisory boards
oTobe the point of contact for investigators proposing investigator initiatedstudies (IIS) and manage such studies in collaboration with GCO.

oSupportJanssen patient advocacy with patient advocacy groups and their initiativese.g. responding to clinical interest gathering insights
Gather information tosupport the Market Access department. (MAD) to ensure our products arepresented in an appropriate way so that all appropriate patients benefit fromthem. To provide MAD with the data they require in an appropriate form so thatthey can develop relevant documentation to support the initial and ongoingaccess of our products to the stakeholders
Internal collaboration
As a member of theCountry Value Team feedback insights from customers in order to contribute tocross-functional (marketing medical market access BI and communications)brand team strategies. Additionally highlight key aspects of the clinical dataso that they form the basis of key marketing and educational messages.
Deliver medical part ofthe reimbursement file and tightly cooperate with HEMAR on finalization of thereimbursement file. If applicable in cooperation with HEMAR executepre-approval local access programs.
Engage with internalstakeholders on topics of mutual interest in order to encourage optimal useand/or understanding of Janssen products
Network with the Globaland EMEA Medical Affairs R&D GCO SKM Medical Education and marketingteams to ensure free flow of information and ideas between the different teamswhile aligning objectives.
Inform the Global andEuropean teams by verbal and written communications of the local countryspecific differences e.g. applicability of EFPIA Code of Practice in thecountry and of the potential impact these differences may have on marketing ofa product feasibility of a clinical trial in a specific country.
Develop educationalitems (e.g. presentations) and deliver training for the business e.g newstarters on an ongoing basis
Consult to the KeyAccount Specialist teams for example by helping them to manage individualissues they may be facing as well as by enhancing their understanding andapplication of company processes (eg. . process).
Assist line managerwith other general medical affairs and medical education projects asappropriate
Compliance
Actively engage withCVT and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with thenecessary Codes of Practice and Laws governing the promotion and sale ofmedicines within the country
Review signatory ofmaterials submitted for copy approval. Support Medical Director in preparationof code case materials e.g. literature searches
In the event of anypotential breaches of the Code of Practice support the complaints procedure todefend the position of Janssen including engaging in inter-company dialogue andrepresentation at AIFP/SAFS hearing if necessary.
Therapy area knowledge
Conduct and reviewliterature searches analyse clinical papers attend conferences courses andother such events to be aware of the latest scientific and clinical advances inrelevant therapy areas.
Attend courses andindustry meetings read industry publications and discuss therapy area withcolleagues to keep up to date with developments within the pharmaceuticalindustry and pharmaceutical medicine.
Monitor competitorpromotional and scientific activities so as to understand their ongoingstrategies as well as to assess their compliance with the Code of Practice.
