Job Description

Nanyang Technological University (NTU) invites applications for an Endowed Professorship in Integrated Circuits Design offering a stimulating and rewarding academic journey. We seek candidates at various career stages: a distinguished Professor with an exemplary research track record a Practice Professor with substantial industry experience to lead collaborative research endeavours and an Associate Professor with potential for growth in the field of Integrated Circuits and System design.


This position will be held at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Areas and priorities that we wish to develop and support through this appointment include (but not limited to):


Emerging AI Edge and Machine Learning Circuits and Systems
Ultra-Low Power High Speed Circuits for Satellites and Autonomous Vehicles
Beyond 5G Circuits and SiP/SoC
IoT Sensor and Flexible Electronics Circuits and Systems
Hardware and Physical-Cybersecurity Circuits and Systems
Quantum Circuits and Systems
System Integration and IC/Package co-design


Responsibilities
The desired candidate is expected to (inclusive but not limited to):


Research Excellence
Secure external research funding and develop a top-notch research program.
Disseminate new research findings in peer-reviewed journals and premier conferences contributing significantly to the domain of Integrated Circuits and Systems.
Drive industry-relevant innovation and applications through research.


Teaching and Mentoring
Deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in Integrated Circuits and systems.
Mentor and supervise graduate students and postdoctoral research fellows fostering a collaborative research environment.
Contribute to curriculum development and refresh for IC design.


Service and Professionalism
Enhance research collaboration between EEE and industry partners.
Engage in school university and professional service activities.
Contribute to the academic community through participation in conferences
seminars and workshops.


Requirements
Candidates with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply:


A Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a related field.
Current appointment as a tenured professor at a leading international university.
A distinguished record of research and innovation in integrated circuits and systems.
Leadership in the professional community as evidenced by conference organization invited seminars and professional service.
Experience in teaching and mentoring students.
Strong commitment to academic service and leadership.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
