Job Description
SAP MDM (Master Data Management) Consultant with expertise in Logistics to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SAP MDM processes tools and best practices with a focus on logistics master data management. This role involves designing implementing and maintaining SAP MDM solutions to ensure accurate consistent and reliable master data across the organization. The consultant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business processes improve data quality and drive operational efficiency in logistics and supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Management Implementation:
oDesign configure and implement SAP MDM solutions for Logistics modules (e.g. Materials Management Warehouse Management Sales and Distribution).
oDefine and maintain master data governance policies standards and procedures.
oEnsure data consistency accuracy and integrity across SAP and non-SAP systems.
Expertise:
oWork closely with the Logistics and Supply Chain teams to understand their master data requirements.
oManage logistics master data objects such as Materials Vendors Customers Purchasing Info Records and Transportation Data.
oSupport integration between SAP MDM and SAP Logistics modules (MM SD WM).
Quality and Governance:
oMonitor and improve the quality of master data through regular audits cleansing and enrichment activities.
oDevelop and enforce data governance frameworks to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
oResolve data-related issues and provide root cause analysis.
and Stakeholder Management:
oCollaborate with business stakeholders IT teams and external vendors to deliver MDM solutions.
oConduct workshops and training sessions to educate users on MDM processes and tools.
oAct as a liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure alignment of MDM strategies with business goals.
Management:
oParticipate in end-to-end MDM projects including requirements gathering solution design testing and deployment.
oManage timelines deliverables and resources for MDM initiatives.
oProvide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders on project progress.
Expertise:
oUtilize SAP MDM tools and technologies including SAP Information Steward SAP Data Services and SAP S/4HANA MDG (Master Data Governance).
oDevelop and maintain data models workflows and validation rules.
oTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to MDM systems.
Improvement:
oIdentify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the MDM landscape.
oStay updated on the latest SAP MDM trends tools and best practices.
oRecommend and implement enhancements to improve system performance and user experience.
Requirements
Education:
oBachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Supply Chain Management or a related field.
oSAP MDM or SAP Logistics certification is highly desirable.
Experience:
oMinimum of 5-7 years of experience in SAP MDM with a focus on Logistics.
oProven experience in implementing and managing SAP MDM solutions in large-scale organizations.
oStrong understanding of SAP Logistics modules (MM SD WM) and their integration with MDM.
Technical Skills:
oProficiency in SAP MDM tools SAP MDG SAP Information Steward SAP Data Services.
oKnowledge of SAP S/4HANA and its implications for master data management.
oFamiliarity with data modeling ETL processes and data integration techniques.
Soft Skills:
oExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
oStrong communication and interpersonal skills.
oAbility to work independently and as part of a team.
oDetail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with non-SAP systems and their integration with SAP MDM.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to logistics data.
Experience in Agile or Scrum project management methodologies.
Work Environment:
This role may require occasional travel to other company locations or SAP events.
