KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER OFFICE

The Knowledge Transfer Office serves as the bridge between the University and the community for the transfer of knowledge expertise skills and capabilities in campus-wide disciplines. We implement various initiatives to encourage and facilitate knowledge transfer (KT) including but not limited to the protection of intellectual properties of the University organising activities to engage internal and external stakeholders encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship activities and formulate strategies and policies towards the holistic development of the Universitys KT.

The Office now invites applications for the position below:

Knowledge Transfer Officer (IP Management) ()

Position Description

The Knowledge Transfer Officer will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of strategies to transfer knowledge and technology from the research outcomes of the University to our industry partners and other stakeholders. The candidate will work closely with our IP Manager to implement various initiatives to encourage and facilitate knowledge transfer (KT) including but not limited to handle intellectual properties portfolio of the University and organising activities to engage internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and filing patent applications;
  • Maintain accurate records update the patent database and track deadlines;
  • Handle IP-related expense payments and invoice processing;
  • Conduct patent searches and evaluations;
  • Assist in preparing reports for senior management; and
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A bachelors degree or higher;
  • At least 1 years of relevant work experience;
  • Sensitivity to deadlines and ability to work efficiently under time constraints;
  • Able to work independently and provide advice to senior management have a sense of ownership at work;
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills; and
  • A good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese. Proficiency in Putonghua is preferred.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
