Job Title: New & Used Vehicle Title Clerk
Department: Accounting
Reports To: Controller
Pay: $19 to $21/hour based on experience
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to come join our Automotive Accounting team here in Decatur Illinois. This is a busy but fun environment to work in. This position will require the following qualities: Organization detail-oriented and a willingness to learn. Individuals with banking or teaching experience are encouraged to apply. SUMMARY
The Title Clerk processes all paperwork for registration and titling with the Department of Motor Vehicles for the New & Used Vehicle Departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Order license plate inventory from the tax office.
- Process all necessary documents for registration and titling of new/used vehicles.
- Issue license plates and registration stickers to customers.
- Issue checks to the tax office for title work.
- Research DMV deficiency correspondence.
- Reconcile sales tax & license/title schedules
- Cross-train with billing retail deals and packaging bank contracts.
- Cross-train with dealer trade & wholesale transactions.
- Work hours 8am to 5pm with an hour lunch.
