You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailIn the performance of their duties the Director of Adult and Continuing Education shall administer and supervise the Adult Education Program. Responsibilities include student enrollment and management curriculum development course evaluation and scheduling budget preparation fiscal management supervision and staff development record keeping marketing and reporting to funding and accrediting agencies. The Director serves as a strategic partner in planning and implementing the future vision for continuing education. The Director must be both a hands-on worker and an excellent manager.
STARTING DATE: As soon as possible
SALARY: Appropriate placement on the Administrative Compensation Plan which will be commensurate with experience andeducation.
REPORTS TO: Superintendent or Designee

WORK-WEEK/YEAR: 40 hours a week 260 days per year
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Education Adult Education Career-Technical Education Educational Leadership or a closely related field. Valid State of Ohio administrative license or eligibility to obtain appropriate certification. 3-5 years of successful leadership experience in adult education workforce development career-technical education or related programs. Proven track record of supervising staff managing budgets and overseeing program compliance. Strong understanding of adult learning principles workforce development needs and career-technical program standards. Familiarity with state and federal reporting requirements including Perkins and other funding sources. Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to collaborate with business industry and community partners to expand opportunities for adult learners. Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed to support adult education programming. Proficiency with technology and data management systems.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Prior experience directing programs in a career center community college or comparable institution. Experience developing and evaluating curriculum aligned to industry-recognized credentials and certifications. Knowledge of best practices in career advising job placement and adult learner support services. Ability to strategically allocate resources and expand programming. Established network of relationships with local employers workforce boards and higher education institutions. Ability to lead long-term planning to expand adult education opportunities and align them with institutional goals.
