Who we are
NORSTA Maritime is the Regional Maintenance Provider for the Regional Maintenance Centre North-East delivering project management capabilities technical expertise and quality assurance activities for the Royal Australian Navy fleet. Our advanced maritime sustainment planning coordinates fleet maintenance at scale across Far North Queensland including Northern Australia and adjacent waters for the Commonwealth of Australia.
NOTE: Due to NORSTA Maritimes position as a Department of Defence contractor we require all employees to be Australian citizens and able to hold a minimum Baseline Security Clearance with the ability to obtain access passes to HMAS Cairns and Cairns-based shipyards.

Youll support daily operations participate in audits and inspections and help foster a strong safety culture. Ideal for individuals with foundational WHS knowledge and a Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety this is a fantastic opportunity to grow in the marine and Defence environment with a committed and collaborative team.
About the role
As a Health Safety & Environment (HSE) Trainee at NORSTA youll contribute to the implementation of safety practices and compliance processes across marine and Defence operations. This entry-level role is ideal for those looking to grow in the HSE field while working closely with experienced professionals.
