On behalf of Ascenz Marorka MARPRO Group is looking for a Routing Analyst Officer for the office in Varna Bulgaria. You will report to the Director of fleet performance center/ Local Team Lead of the company.
The job
As a Routing Analyst Officer at Ascenz Marorkas Weather Routing Operational Center in Varna you will play a key role in providing voyage advice for vessels of all types. You will collect all necessary data before departure including vessel characteristics operational constraints and voyage information to calculate optimal route and speed using Ascenz Marorkas software solutions. You will provide captains with meteorological and oceanographic forecasts and observations advising them on passage planning before departure and throughout the ocean crossing. This includes assisting captains and shoreside stakeholders monitoring vessel safety and optimizing fuel consumption to support optimum voyage results.
You will compare vessel routes under similar conditions incorporate observations from the vessels to comment on forecasts and produce post-voyage reports that can support claim management when necessary. Additionally you will contribute feedback to improve Ascenz Marorkas software and operational processes. This position offers the chance to combine maritime expertise data analysis and customer service making a direct impact on the safety efficiency and sustainability of global shipping operations.
Professional qualifications
- Education in either Master Mariner Dual Purpose or a related field
- Minimum 2 years experience as Officer of the Watch on vessels within the last 6 years
- Practical experience with weather routing software or services
- Experience with vessel operations and voyage planning preparations
- Excellent English skills both verbal and written

- Customer service mindset able to assist and support captains and ship operators effectively
- Structured detail-oriented and analytical with strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working with IT systems databases and analytical tools
- Proactive and collaborative capable of contributing to software improvement
- Flexible and adaptable able to manage dynamic tasks and watch duties
