Job Title: Fire Alarm Technician (Edwards EST Experience Required)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician with hands-on expertise in Edwards EST (Emergency Systems Technology) fire alarm systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation programming inspection maintenance and repair of fire alarm and life safety systems to ensure compliance with NFPA codes local regulations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install configure program and troubleshoot Edwards EST fire alarm systems and related devices.
- Perform regular inspections testing and preventive maintenance on fire alarm and life safety systems.
- Diagnose system malfunctions complete necessary repairs and ensure proper system functionality.
- Maintain accurate service documentation including inspection reports work orders and compliance records.
- Communicate effectively with customers contractors and internal teams to provide updates and recommendations.
- Stay current on fire alarm codes NFPA standards and industry best practices.
- Provide on-call support and respond to emergency service requests as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of fire alarm technician experience with proven proficiency in Edwards EST systems (programming and troubleshooting required).
- NICET Level II or higher in Fire Alarm Systems (preferred but not required).
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 72 local fire codes and electrical standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
- Excellent communication problem-solving and customer service skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. climb ladders and work in a variety of environments (indoors outdoors confined spaces).
- Comfortable with extended periods of standing walking or working at heights.
