Job Title: Platform Engineering Engineer III
Location: Chennai

Position Description:
- Virtualization Compute -Senior Engineer
- This is a Virtualization Server Hosting Engineering position in Foundational Compute Services in the clients Enterprise Platform Engineering Operations.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for engineering deployment operational administration and protection of global enterprise solutions to meet the Virtualization Server Hosting requirements for a variety of VMware& Red Hat infrastructure systems line of business and third-party application needs.
Education Required:
- Engineering Graduate in computer Science /IT or Post graduate in computer science/application.
Additional qualification/certification Preferred
- VMware DCV certification
- Red Hat OSV certification
- Red Hat CSA certification
- CKA - Certified Kubernetes Administrator
Skills Required:
- OSV Openshift VMware ESX Servers Kubernetes Tekton git GitHub CI/CD Ansible Yaml Docker redhat
- Network Protocols & Standards Communications
- Storage Management Storage Capacity Management MSSQL Python
- Windows Servers Microsoft Windows
- IBM Websphere Application Server Linux API
Experience Required:
Technical Qualifications :
- Overall 10 years in IT development/operations/support/migrations
- 5 years of experience with OpenShift Virtualization/automation
- Knowledge about containers/pods
- Deep insight about K8s
- Virtual Machine management
- Knowledge about PVCs and Operators
- 3 Years of experience with Tekton Pipelines for Automation
- 5 years of experience with Git repo mgmt. and usage.
- 3 years of experience with Argo CD knowledge
- 3 years of creating/managing Ansible playbooks
- 3 years of PowerShell Ansible & Yaml scripting
- 3 years of managing Dockers
- 3 Years of experience with VMWare vSphere ESXi vCenter vROPS
- 3Years of experience working with VMware & Red Hat Server Infrastructure server hardware and related network components.
- 3 Years of experience working in a Global/Large VMware environment.
- Infrastructure Experience with servers network storage database and backups.
- Experience in SQL Server WebSphere Windows OS Linux OS.
- Familiar with PowerCLI and API calls via code.

Basic Qualifications:
- Virtual server computing infrastructure knowledge.
- Scripting experience with PowerShell Ansible & Yaml
- Enterprise Datacenter server hosting server experience or Hosting Infrastructure.
- Windows server or Linux operating system.
- Ability to work with a variety of cross functional teams to support deployment to remote locations.
- Proven track record of organizing and leading projects involving VMware/Red Hat or related infrastructure technologies for a large enterprise.
- Exceptional technical writing skills (run books DR plans platform architecture etc.)
- Familiar with the clients Agile delivery concepts.
- Strong communication skills.
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Good team player working with Global team
Education Required:
- Bachelors Degree
Education Preferred:
- Masters Degree
