Responsibilities:
- Lead in-house tooling sample measurement and guide corrections.
- Define and review measurement methods for new product / project.
- Develop measurement system technologies to improve accuracy and reduce cycle time.
- Develop human resource / talent for new measurement system technologies.
- Drive quality improvement of mold/machine parts machining.
- Manage quality performance of machining supplier.
- Provide 3D measurement support to mold/machine/component
- Monitor the production in-process control and implementation.
- Manage machine/fixture/line buyoff and qualification.
- Quality Management System (QMS) Implementation & Maintenance
- Investigate deviations/non-conformities related to measurement method /accuracy.
- Provide expert guidance for GD&T management.
Education:
- Bachelors or Masters in Metrology Engineering Physics or related field.
Experience:
- 10 years in metrology and/or quality management in a precision machining and tooling industry (plastic / metal / power metallurgy).
- Hands-on experience with metrology lab (CT Scan 3D scan CMM and gear profile tester).
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of product measurement (GD&T) including plastic metal stamping/drawing die cast gear/worm
- Strong knowledge of utilize 3D technology (CT scan & 3D Scan) for product quality analysis.
- Knowledge of assembly machine and fixture qualification. Experience of machine certification (CE / UL /CSA) and machine safety (ISO12100) will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Quality Management System implementation and maintenance.( IATF16949/9000 QC080000 ISO 14000)
- Knowledge of problem-solving and continuous improvement tools such as 8D 5-Why DOE and Six Sigma.
- Experience of precision machining (CNC wire-cut EDM) will be an advantage.
- Candidate with less experience will be considered as Manager.
