Purpose
Responsible for leading the enterprise-wide strategy and execution of software asset governance. This role ensures compliance with licensing agreements optimizes software usage and costs and mitigates legal and financial risks. What you will bring
Requirements:
Job Specific Knowledge:
Deep knowledge of software licensing models (e.g. Microsoft Oracle IBM Adobe SaaS Concurrent Token Based).
Proficiency with SAM tools and platforms (e.g. Flexera Snow ServiceNow SAM Pro).
Strong analytical negotiation and communication skills.
Familiarity with ITIL ISO/IEC 19770 and software compliance frameworks.
Experience with software metering and usage analytics tools.
Hands-on experience with managing software from vendors such as Autodesk Bentley AVEVA Intergraph/Hexagon Microsoft and Adobe.
Industry Specific Experience:
3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
8 years of experience in IT Asset Management with a strong focus on Software Asset Management including purchasing leasing licensing lifecycle management cost control and reporting
7 years experience with the execution of asset management projects and 5 years experience in managing relevant projects
Participation in / exposure to tenders for IT Hardware and Software products and services and experience with performance management of suppliers of software services and agreements
Broad exposure to software contract documents
An understanding of use cases for the use of Generative AI and Automation specifically related to the Software Asset management space Preferred
Education Qualifications Accreditation Training:
Tertiary qualification in Business Computer Science Information Systems or industry equivalent experience.
Familiarity with ITIL ISO/IEC 19770 and software compliance frameworks.
Certifications such as CSAM CHAMP CITAM or ITIL are highly desirable.
Advanced analytical skills in various tools - Excel PowerBI SAM Inventory systems
