ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospitaloffers a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services in southern Michigan and Ohio. A national leader in treatment of heart attack congestive heart failure pneumonia and surgical care ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital is also a pacesetter in Michigan for obstetrics emergency care intensive care controlling infections and organ donation.
Scope of Position:
Works under close supervision of a licensed nurse and according to established policies procedures and specific instructions performs a variety of basic patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comforts of patients.
One to four weeks of on-the-job training at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital in order to become familiar with job responsibilities and duties the work area and policies and procedures.
RequirementsEducation: High school diploma or equivalent.
Skills:
- The ability to perform routine patient care functions such as baths taking temperatures pulse and respiration and blood pressures.
- Must be able to follow routine written and/or verbal instructions.
- Must have interpersonal skills required to communicate effectively with patients of the following:
- Pediatric (8-12 years)
- Adolescent (13-17 years)
- Adult (18-64 years)
- Geriatric (64 years and above)
- Physicians other hospital personnel as needed to promote quality patient care
