Job Description

We are looking for a Building Maintenance to join our team on a 4-month contract supporting the care and upkeep of our office and retail portfolio in downtown Toronto. This hands-on role plays a key part in ensuring our properties are maintained to the highest standards of safety efficiency and environmental responsibility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of common areas including entrances walkways and facilities.

  • Conduct routine building and equipment inspections reporting issues to the Operations Supervisor.

  • Perform basic maintenance and repair work in common areas and tenant spaces (e.g. plumbing fixtures drain snaking breaker resets light and ballast replacements door hardware repairs lock changes).

  • Complete tenant requests such as hanging whiteboards installing keyboard trays and replacing window blinds.

  • Use the Building Management System (Angus Anywhere) to respond promptly to tenant work orders and preventive tasks.

  • Conduct weekly inspections of vacant units and report any unusual conditions.

  • Assist with contractor access site tours and oversight of third-party work.

  • Maintain an organized inventory of tools equipment and supplies; provide recommendations for replenishment.

  • Safely lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

  • Perform other maintenance tasks as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical training an asset.

  • 23 years of experience in building maintenance and basic repairs.

  • Familiarity with Angus Anywhere or similar work order systems is an asset.

  • Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures (WHMIS Lockout/Tagout fall protection mould remediation) preferred.

  • Strong service orientation and commitment to maintaining high standards.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.

  • Commitment to fostering a respectful supportive workplace culture.
