Equitable is looking for a 1290 Funds Sales Desk National Manager to join our team in Charlotte this role you will manage the daily activity and operation of internal wholesalers who provide sales support to Equitable Advisors 3rd Party Advisors consultants & Equitable wholesalers selling 1290 Funds retail mutual funds. This team may also initiate direct proactive contact with plan level prospects in efforts to promote sales.
This position is responsible for supervising all sales activities of internal wholesalers including call monitoring phone logs sales presentations and general business activities designed to promote and sell 1290 Funds mutual fund strategies. This person will also be responsible for coordinating training programs and providing ongoing coaching for the internal wholesalers as it relates to Equitable Investment Managements products and services competitor knowledge portfolio assessment presentation skills training and territory management. Since this individual should also possess knowledge of investment products and strategies the mutual fund industry and advisory platform marketplace conference calls with Financial Professionals external wholesalers and key partners may be necessary.
Key Job Responsibilities
Lead team of 4 licensed Internal Wholesalers
Manage all internal wholesaler daily activity and interaction with Equitable Advisors outside brokers wholesalers & potential prospects
Develop implement and maintain regular coaching and training activities for internal wholesalers
As supervising Principal monitor activities and licensing requirements to ensure team is compliant
Actively participate in coordinating offers and presentations to high profile or high asset prospects
Develop and maintain metrics for activity tracking and campaigns such as inbound/outbound calls quality adivisor engagement and pipeline follow-up to ensure consistent regular and meaningful contact is maintained with Financial Professionals and 3rd Party Advisors
Coordinate useful feedback from field on market trends competitive landscape & present to appropriate business area leadership on regular basis.
Manage tight control of prospect pipeline ensuring current statuses are regularly updated and proper resources are applied for elite advisor prospects.
Initiate and provide individual feedback career development performance evaluation motivation and discipline
Report to Senior Leadership on teams performance and provide insight and solutions to business needs.
Partner with other business teams to help drive sales initiatives firm strategies and goals.
The base salary for this position is $70000 to $90000. This role is eligible for variable compensation.

Required Qualifications
4 years hands on experience with investment products and platforms
Bachelors degree
Series 6/7 63 and 24/26 (or willing to obtain Series 24 or 26 within first 6 months)
People Management experience
Internal or external sales related experience
Working knowledge of retail investment advice market investment product and services.
Proven track record of motivating coaching relationship management customer service and sales.
Ability to perform well in an agile environment pivoting & effectively driving shifts in strategy to dominate new challenges or changes in competitive environment or market.
Working proficiency of Microsoft Office programs (Word Excel Outlook etc.)
Skilled at building relationships vertically and horizontally within the organization as well as with brokers/advisors selling in this market
Ability to understand pricing structures of advisory programs and fund costs and be able to communicate in clear and concise manner
Solid verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of Product Line: Knowledge of investment strategy subadvisors analytic tools and techniques for specific products; ability to develop product line processes and strategies.
Knowledge of Sales Channels: Knowledge of various sales channels; ability to coordinate multiple and diverse strategies for selling an organizations products and services.
Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives projects groups or activities making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
Staff and Career Development: Knowledge of available internal and external learning resources and ability to address learning training and career development needs of individuals teams or organization.
