The role focuses on strategic planning to improve operational efficiencies and effectiveness with a forward-looking approach to planning for the month-year timeframe. You will have the opportunity to use your expertise and take charge of all aspects related to assets maintenance and suppliers management processes to ensure that all Khui Tu Kaha buildings fittings and equipment are compliant with building regulation standards all relevant legislation insurance policies and health and safety requirements.
Key responsibilities
Lead develop and support a team of staff to achieve high standards and performance
Lead the responsive maintenance and rehabilitation strategies across a fast-growing portfolio of properties
Lead the delivery of procurement strategies that align with our operational goals
Develop implement and test compliance protocols to ensure systems adhere to all relevant health and safety and regulatory requirements.
What you will need to have:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in building maintenance procurement or facilities management.
Proven experience in property maintenance management preferably in social housing
Working knowledge and understanding of Residential Tenancy Act 1997 and other acts and regulations relevant to Property Management
Excellent knowledge of building regulations and standards (Building Act 2004)
Strong knowledge of procurement processes and supplier contract management
Strong professional and personal ethics
Excellent communication organisational and negotiation skills
A proactive and solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
Familiarity with relevant health and safety legislation and maintenance standards
Commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and tikanga Mori.
