Job Summary
Job Purpose:
The Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (CNM1) role has a specially focused nursing knowledge and skills in providing clinical and professional leadership in the peri-operative environment. The CNM1 will contribute to the improvement of the quality of patient care within the theatre department through the implementation of nursing policies and procedures participation in nursing practice development programmes and through the education and mentorship of junior staff.
The CNM1 is responsible and accountable for the provision of clinical and professional leadership nursing management and continuous professional development in area of responsibility. The CNM1 will be designated to take charge within a speciality in the absence of the person who has continuing responsibility for that speciality.
This is a permanent full time (37.5 hours) per week.
