Amazon is seeking a Risk Manager to join our Finance Operations Risk Governance and Experience (FORGE) this role youll lead high-impact projects optimizing audit operations and risk management strategies for our global Finance Operations (FinOps) organization. Youll drive operational excellence through project management for audits that touch corporate procurement accounts payable/receivable payroll and real estate functions. The ideal candidate combines strong compliance expertise with program management skills to develop innovative solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams all in support of Amazon s mission to be Earths most customer-centric company.
Key job responsibilities As a Risk Manager you will be the go-to expert for project and program management across Finance Operations Risk & Governance (FORGE). Your responsibilities will include:
Strategic Leadership through Program Management Leading program management strategy for audit and risk management initiatives. Presenting data-driven program updates to FORGE and FinOps leadership through regular business reviews by translating complex data into actionable insights. Tracking team goals to measure program effectiveness and drive consistency between team compliance projects. Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance team efficiency and scalability.
Compliance and Audit Technical Expertise Acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for audit tracking and risk management systems. Partnering with technical teams to identify opportunities for improvement and implement automation and system enhancements. Communicate these changes to the broader team and train others on the enhancements. Auditing external reports and simplifying the audit lifecycle through automation.
About the team The team is 70 people responsible for Risk Management for Finance Operations (Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Payroll Real Estate and Facilities Corporate Procurement Finance Automation (Tech) and Accounting & Analysis.)
- Bachelors degree or equivalent - 4 years of compliance program management legal governance audit risk/loss prevention or equivalent experience - 3 years of program or project management experience - Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Professional auditing qualification or similar risk or compliance credentials - Experience establishing successful partnerships with internal and external teams to execute tactical initiatives or equivalent - 3 years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics
