Cardiovascular Diagnostics & Services (CDS) is a dynamic growing business line. Our ambition is to lead in connecting patients caregivers and clinicians from diagnosis to treatment with real-time information and value-added services to improve quality of life for patients at lower costs. We offer products and services that help customers to identify heart arrhythmias using an insertable cardiac monitor (ICM).
The role of the Market Development Specialist is to Increase the market penetration of Medtronic Insertable Cardiac Monitors in the Syncope & Cryptogenic Stroke patient populations. This role focuses on removing the barriers that Healthcare providers and patients currently face when trying to access this technology.
The working territory is Murcia Comunidad de Valencia Aragn Catalua and Islas Baleares and eventually might have to travel to the rest of Europe for customer/business purposes.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Development of new possibilities for expanding the use of the products as well as comprehensive product acceptance in existing clinics and new centers.
- Optimization and local establishment of patient pathways for the indications stroke and syncope as well as the creation of centers of excellence.
- Regional development and management of Key Opinion Leaders (KOL).
- Contact point for the local sales team to raise awareness of indications - economic and clinical evidence (peer-to-peer meetings).
- Identify all external stakeholders in the patient pathway (cardiologists neurologists nursing procurement / purchasing coding professionals and others) and maintain regular contact with them.
- Development and implementation of regional training and further education programs as well as round tables for external stakeholders e.g. referring physicians.
- Close cooperation with the field service team and the market development team in order to create and optimize patient paths together with customers and to ensure the alignment and effective implementation of national and international programs.
- Active development of an annual regional market development plan in cooperation with the marketing and market development team and regular tracking.
- Working closely with the reimbursement team to ensure that all relevant health economic information is passed on to the appropriate stakeholders and working closely with the marketing team to develop suitable materials / brochures / flyers / digital solutions.
- Cooperation with all business areas in which the products can be used (Cardiovascular Overlay Neurovascular).
- Comprehensive complete and timely recording and reporting of all clinical market and competitive information as well as trends and developments to the Strategic Marketing Team.
- Participation in all necessary regional national and international meetings and congresses.
- Use of the account panning tool to plan account strategies tactics and actions in the long term and in the short term. Project work and process optimization as well as regular tracking of KPIs are the main focus.
- Partner with CRM sales rep Technical Consultants and District manager to ensure execution of Cardiovascular Diagnostics & Services projects.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- More than 5 years of experience in a sales role in Medtech or Pharma.
- Degree in business technology or medical fields.
- Professional experience in a clinical context or in a sales position in medical technology.
- Candidates who are currently working as a nurse / nurse in the cardiology / neurology / intensive care department or in the operating theater or in the emergency medical service and would like to switch to the field service or candidates with a corresponding Work experience within the industry.
- Anatomical and medical technology knowledge.
- Fluent in English (reading conversation and writing).
- Drivers license.
- Friendly and open as well as a high level of willingness to provide service and a high level of commitment and motivation.
- Solution oriented.
- Independent way of working.
- Excellent ability to work in a team.
- Good IT skills.
- Willingness to travel.
- Experience with a large corporation.
