Job Description

Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain high-performance backend services and applications using Java and/or Python.
- Build and optimize APIs (REST and GraphQL) for large-scale high-traffic data systems.
- Manage and process massive datasets (millions of records) efficiently in production environments.
- Implement and maintain event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar event streaming platforms.
- Optimize database performance for MySQL PostgreSQL or equivalent systems including query tuning and indexing for large datasets.
- Develop and maintain data transformation workflows using JSON XML and other formats.
- Leverage AWS (or other cloud platforms) to deploy scalable and resilient infrastructure.
- Ensure reliability and scalability of services through performance monitoring load testing and optimization.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate builds testing and deployments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps Data Engineering Frontend Product) to ensure seamless integration of backend services.
- Maintain high code quality standards through reviews testing and adherence to best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance scalability and production issues in complex distributed systems.
Requirements
- Strong backend development experience in Java and/or Python.
- Proven experience working with millions of records in production environments.
- Expertise in API development (REST GraphQL) for high-volume data systems.
- Proficiency in Kafka or other event streaming platforms for large-scale data processing.
- Strong database experience (MySQL PostgreSQL or equivalent) including query optimization and large dataset performance tuning.
- Knowledge of JSON XML and data transformation workflows.
- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms for scalable infrastructure.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git version control.
- Advanced English.
- Familiarity with ACES and PIES automotive catalog standards.
- Experience integrating with marketplace APIs (Walmart API preferred).
- Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Understanding of data partitioning sharding and caching strategies for high-volume systems.
- Knowledge of asynchronous processing message queues and event-driven design.
