Job Description
Parker Stewart is urgently seeking Controls Lead for a leading medical device company based in the southeast.
The Controls Engineering Team Lead will for manage a team of engineers to support qualification and maintain manufacturing equipment and their control systems. The Controls Engineering Team Lead will be a subject matter expert for all machine controls systems.
Responsibilities
- Manages a team of controls systems and vision engineers
- Provides technical leadership on all controls engineering topics
- Supports in-production Automated Manufacturing Equipment
- Troubleshoots and solves problems with processes and hardware
- Plans preventive maintenance of controls systems
- Coordinates with others in order to investigate problems and implement solutions
- Provides technical assistance as needed by internal customers
- Manages relations with vendors
- Defines performance metrics
- Supports qualification and validation activities
- Leads projects to specify and implement new processes and process improvements
Experience
- Degree in Automation Mechatronics Computer science Electrical engineering Electronic engineering or equivalent experience with 5 years experience
- Managing teams and projects
- Allen Bradley Controllogix PLCs and Siemens TIA portal while developing users and system requirements specifications
- Experience in controls system development and deployment & in software testing verification and validation
- Excellent knowledge of manufacturing systems and problem solving
