Job Description
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology plus 8 years of experience required
Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering plus 5 years of experience required
Qualifications:
Must be able to interpret customer specifications.
Present clear detailed designs for production engineers to execute.
Experience in the design of low and medium-voltage switchgear.
Research new part requirements read manuals and contact vendors to ensure successful implementation.
Detailed understanding of protective relays their functions and proper applications.
Basic understanding of PLC / SCADA communications networks and protocols.
Have a detailed understanding of NEC UL ANSI and other standards.
Basic understanding of generator controls and limitations.
Able to understand written instructions
Able to communicate design challenges
Top Skills:
AutoCAD Electrical or E-Plan experience
Ability to read electrical drawings
Experience working with switchgear
Job Duties:
Provide submittal packages to customers on medium and low voltage switchgear
Provide technical support to the Sales team
Provide project historical information to the Engineering team
Review customer specifications and drawings
Design switchgear and controls utilizing AutoCAD Electrical or E-Plan
