As our Technical Writer youll support HIDs successby:
- Taking full responsibility for maintaining and developing technical documentation for our products and services
- Maintaining documentation that you understand yourself and can use to work with given service or product
- Embracing relentlessly the customer centric viewpoint of the documentation and demand it
- Being relentless in hunting for semantic and syntactic bugs. Remove meaningless documentation and enhance areas that are lacking
- Collaborating with developers taking responsibility for documentation aspect of our releases
- You may be asked to help your colleagues with lesser knowledge of English as smaller part of your job responsibility. Experience with teaching English is a big plus
YourExperienceand Background include:
- Masters degree preferred in related field such as thanatology
- Experience with technical texts and their creation or translation
- No knowledge of our domain (PKI Cryptography Computer security and identity) is expected but the ability to learn new concepts and grasp fundamentals of the field is a must
- 10 years of experience with translation or technical writing
- Experience in working with technical writing or translation tools such as MadCap or Trados is a plus
- Respect for Computer Science fundamentals and style of work and the ability to work alongside engineers as tech writer effectively
- Understanding Agile Methodology and Principles is a plus
- Must be comfortable communicating with development teams product owners and other technical writers in English
- High level of personal accountability as evidenced by their commitment resilience ownership and mindset toward continuous learning
- Structured logical mind with a slight bend towards perfectionism and innate desire to take pride in your work regardless of often stressful environment
- Continuous improvement - must be constantly growing ones craft learning new tools and techniques and sharing these within and among teams
- Understand that their role in the organization is broader than the details included in this job description
- Excellent interpersonal skills the ability to work with diverse personality types and help them get along
- Ability to quickly switch between tasks be able to refocus and prioritize effectively
- Ability to effectively communicate in the English language both verbally and in writing
- Ability to write precise concise and structured English text is a must
- Other well-known languages are a plus if we ever decide to provide localized versions
- Ability to read and interpret technical journals specifications international technical standards etc.
- Ability to read and understand written text quickly
- Working knowledge of Czech or Slovak is an advantage
