Under the direction of Manager Library User Services the Regular Part-time Library Technician (Trafalgar) works with other Library staff to support students as they learn at and create a sense of belonging connection and engagement. The incumbent does this through performing a variety of library tasks such as performing all circulation functions using automated library systems assisting library users in the operation of the public library catalogue and performing basic printer troubleshooting. The position provides virtual and physical quick reference research support citation support and library use guidance and participates in keeping the collection in order through physical repairs shelf reading and shelving as required. This role supports promotion of the library at events promotes services to students and creates engaging video content on library topics as assigned. Incumbent will support the Technical Services Team by helping with processing repairs and special projects. Issues which are unresolved are referred to the full-time staff or manager in the appropriate area.
