We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Enterprise Data Governance Consultant to serve as an individual contributor focused on maturing our organizations data governance initiatives. This role is responsible for contributing to the development and maintenance of a robust data governance framework that ensures data quality integrity security and usability across the enterprise.Because this role supports a value stream we are especially interested in candidates who have experience not only in designing and implementing data governance policies or frameworks but also in applying them in close collaboration with business owners. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in data management and business process improvement with a strong track record of aligning governance practices to business needs and outcomes.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement enterprise-wide data governance policies standards and procedures.
Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define data ownership stewardship and accountability.
Lead initiatives to improve data quality metadata management and master data management.
Integrate AI and machine learning tools to automate data classification anomaly detection and predictive analytics.
Align data governance strategies with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Facilitate data governance meetings and working groups to drive adoption and compliance.
Monitor and report on data governance metrics risks and performance indicators.
Support change management and training efforts to promote a data-driven culture.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Management Information Systems Business Administration or 5 years equivalent experience in data governance data management or related roles.
Strong understanding of SQL data architecture data lifecycle data classification and data privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR CCPA).
Proven experience in business process analysis and optimization.
Experience with agile and project management including JIRA Confluence etc.
Experience with cloud based tools like AWS Azure GCP etc.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Familiarity with data governance tools (e.g. Alation Informatica Anomalo etc.) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in Data Governance (e.g. DCAM CDMP).
Experience in enterprise environments with complex data ecosystems.
Ability to translate technical concepts into business value.

In certain jurisdictions CNA is legally required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this District of Columbia California Colorado Connecticut Illinois Maryland Massachusetts New York and Washington the national base pay range for this job level is $72000 to $141000 determinations are based on various factors including but not limited to relevant work experience skills certifications and location.
