Starting salary:32255 per year
Contract type:Permanent
Grade:3
Location:Longmore House Edinburgh (with hybrid working)
Working Hours:Monday - Friday 35 hours per week (with occasional evening and weekend work)
Interviews:To be held in person at Longmore House Edinburgh on week commencing 20 October 2025
In the Learning Producer role you will lead on the development design and creation of learning resources and support the development of an enhanced digital learning offer. Working collaboratively and in partnership is key to this work.

Key Responsibilities of this role
- Lead on the development design and production of themed digital and printed learning resources including a variety of support materials for teachers and group leaders
- Lead on the development and content creation of the Learn webpages
- Contribute to the design and creation of selected tactile resources (such as object handling resources)
- Provide a support function for the wider team in relation to the design and production of learning resources which will include Digital Accessibility requirements and may include co-design approaches
- Management of project-related budget(s) and external contract(s) relating to the design creation and production of learning resources
- Contribute to the development and management of external partnerships that are key to the development of accessible digital learning resources
- Ensure continuous improvement and good practice in the production of learning resources conducting audience research by testing and evaluating learning resources to ensure that they are appropriate and accessible to diverse learning audiences
- Ensure resource development is linked to and supportive of learning policy
- Undertake other duties delegated by the Head of Learning and Inclusion or by the Learning Manager
Key requirements of the role:

Essential:
Demonstrable knowledge and experience in applying current good practice within the heritage and/or cultural learning sector
Familiarity with current Scottish learning policy most notably Curriculum for Excellence and Community Learning and Development
Demonstrable experience of applying accessibility tools/software and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) to ensure that resources meet Digital Accessibility requirements
Experience of using a content management system to update websites
Demonstrable experience of developing designing producing and evaluating learning materials (digital printed and/or tactile) within a cultural heritage or related environment
Demonstrable experience of utilising co-design approaches within the development and production of learning resources to ensure that resources meet audience needs
Familiarity with formal informal and community audiences and methods of engaging with these audiences
Excellent planning and project management skills with the ability to manage a diverse workload and competing priorities
Excellent communication and teamworking skills with the ability to manage relationships with both internal and external partners
Experience of managing a budget
