Now Hiring: Unit Manager / Infection Preventionist(LPN or RN) Long-Term Care

Location: Mantey Heights Rehabilitation and Care Center Grand Junction CO
Schedule: Full-time 2pm to 10pm

Position Summary

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Unit Manager / Infection Preventionist(LPN or RN) to join our leadership team. This unique dual role combines the oversight of nursing unit operations with responsibility for infection prevention and control throughout the facility. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who is committed to quality care regulatory compliance and resident safety.

Responsibilities

As Unit Manager you will:

  • Supervise day-to-day nursing unit operations ensuring high-quality care and compliance with care plans.
  • Support and mentor nursing staff providing leadership and guidance.
  • Collaborate with physicians therapists and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Oversee staffing scheduling and staff evaluations.

As Infection Preventionist you will:

  • Lead the facilitys Infection Prevention and Control Program.
  • Monitor track and analyze infection data to identify trends.
  • Educate staff residents and families on infection prevention practices.
  • Ensure compliance with CDC CMS OSHA and state regulations.
  • Coordinate outbreak response and corrective action plans.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) current State license required.
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in long-term care/skilled nursing preferred.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of infection prevention practices; CIC certification or willingness to obtain training.
  • Strong communication organizational and leadership skills.
