Job Summary
- Provides direct patient care in the Cardiac ICU using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Reports to
- Director or Manager of Department.
Essential Functions Additional Information
- Patient Populations Served: Neonate Infant Early Childhood Late Childhood Adolescent Young Adult Middle Adult Older Adult.
- Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic Clinical Insurance Financial Complete Medical Record.
- Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present for all employees.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing walking lifting/moving patients and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards including blood and bodily fluids hazardous medications and latex.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skills and/or abilities required.
Education: Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred.
License:
- Current RN license in state of practice;
Certifications
- BCLS required; ACLS PALS and Handle with Care preferred.
