Job Profile Summary
Responsible for providing a broad array of legal advice to the firm and ensuring the firm operates in accordance with global regional and local legal frameworks. Specialists provide support across the firms activities including legal issues contracts complex transactions M&A Board Matters Real Estate Cybersecurity Securities Litigation Disputes Investigations Financing and Company Secretarial.
Job Description
Essential Job Functions:
Provide legal support and guidance to business units and the legal team.
Assist in the development and implementation of legal strategies.
Collaborate on contract negotiations and compliance matters.
Contribute to Board Matters and corporate governance compliance.
Assist with Real Estate matters including property management.
Support the firms Cybersecurity and data protection efforts.
Offer assistance on Securities and Financial Regulations.
Drafts reviews and negotiates legal documents and commercial agreements (including non-disclosure agreements outsourcing agreements master service agreements teaming agreements statement of work amendment settlement etc.) with customers teaming partners and outside counsel as requested by the client or the business
Provide legal support with respect to account teams regarding legal implications of specific terms and conditions in existing contracts including during transition & transformation and contract termination
Provide legal support and advice related to disputes - Responsible for keeping stakeholders abreast of the progress of a case by creating reports and communicating verbally; - Under minimal supervision serve as a trusted advisor to members of the business team and company stakeholders.
Works closely with multifunctional teams - As needed and according to required qualifications provides legal assistance and/or representation on behalf of the company.
Make themselves acquainted on a regular basis with all companys or its clients standard legal positions documents in order to apply these when providing legal services;
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Typically 6 years of relevant work experience in industry with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role
Proven experience in corporate legal matters
Proficiencies in legal research contract negotiation and regulatory compliance.
Must be a continuous learner who stays abreast with industry knowledge and technology
Other Qualifications:
Advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus
Relevant certifications such as Certified Corporate Counsel (CCC) or Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) are a plus
