Job Description
Our client a leading IT Services company is looking to hire Operation Support Engineer.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible in the following areas:
- 7x24 on-call support in roster basis
- Provide administration and support of hardware and software (Windows and Linux)
- Provide administration and support of container-based virtualization platform (Openshift and KVM)
- Provide administration and support of network devices (Routers/Switch/Firewall/Load-Balancer)
- Apply O/S and software patch
- Perform first line trouble shooting and technical support
- Act as the contact point to provide technical support in system operation
Requirements
- Higher Diploma Degree holder in Computer Science IT or related discipline
- 2-4 years relevant IT experience in system administration
- Good knowledge of networking
- Solid experience on Linux administration on Linux System Configuration Shell Scripting and Patch Management
- Solid experience on Backup operation
- Knowledge on docker and container is preferable but not a must
