Description

THE POSITION

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electromechanical Assembly III Technician to join our team! This role is responsible for advanced electrical and electromechanical assembly tasks. This position requires extensive experience in wiring troubleshooting and assembling complex conveyor and automation systems to lead efforts to support production goals KPIs on-time delivery and mentor junior assemblers. This role requires a proactive problem solver with a strong sense of ownership a passion for continuous learning and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assemble and wire electrical components connectors terminals and contact points using schematics and diagrams.
  • Cut route comb twist wrap tie and attach wires to terminal points per specifications.
  • Disassemble modify rework refurbish and reassemble components as needed.
  • Interpret and work from production blueprints wiring diagrams parts lists wire lists sketches and verbal instructions.
  • Perform tasks requiring knowledge of multiple processes operations and equipment.
  • Use fine motor skills to assemble small parts with precision and dexterity.
  • Lead 5S activities and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Access and follow drawings from computer systems.
  • Perform work in a safe and healthy manner.
  • Actively participate in cell meetings and improvement initiatives.
  • Identify and communicate ideas to improve performance and eliminate waste.
  • Accurately scan on/off jobs and utilize visual boards to track KPIs.
  • Display professional conduct with coworkers and customers.
  • Attend company meetings and participate in kaizen teams.
  • Mentor and train junior technicians.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent job experience in similar position is required;
  • Associates degree in Electronics preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years hands-on electrical assembly experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions assembly drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Strong attention to detail problem-solving skills and manual dexterity.
  • Comfortable sitting or standing at a workstation for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work overtime and adapt to production schedules.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending twisting and turning.

TOOLS AND TRAINING:

  • Hand tools provided by NPI.
  • On-the-job training available.
