What this job involves
Operates inspects and maintains all HVAC mechanical electrical and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities to obtain most efficient operating results and life expectancy. Ensures equipment is maintained in an energy efficient safe manner while minimizing downtime through proactive maintenance and repair. Performs comprehensive inspections and repairs to property interior and exterior areas including structural components fixtures roofing systems and lighting systems.
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical electrical and other installed systems equipment and components Maintain operate and repair all HVAC systems and associated equipment electrical distribution equipment plumbing systems and building interior/exterior components
Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts reporting on conditions impacting client occupancy and operations
Respond effectively to all building emergencies and after-hours activities as required
Prepare and submit management summary reports listing found conditions and recommend corrective actions
Study and maintain familiarity with building automation systems fire/life safety systems and other building-related equipment
Comply with all safety procedures while maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas recognizing and proposing methods to eliminate hazards
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs.
Must be able to climb up to 30 ft. ladders
Ability to perform on-call duties and overtime as required
Mobile position requiring travel between facilities
Required Qualifications:
Universal EPA 608 Certification
Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering
Strong background in technical aspects of packaged HVAC plumbing and electrical equipment repair and maintenance
Valid state drivers license (must possess and maintain)
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and climb up to 30 ft. ladders
Availability for on-call duties and overtime work
Compliance with State County or City Ordinances Codes and Laws
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of overall MEP/HVAC system design and application
Experience managing work orders and utilizing CMMS technology
Experience working in a service-related role specific to commercial facilities
Familiarity with building automation systems and fire/life safety systems
Experience with emergency response procedures in commercial environments
Background in energy efficiency and sustainability practices
Previous experience in mobile/multi-site maintenance roles
