Your department

The ICT department has initiated a transition towards an Agile way of working as part of improving the ICT Target Operating Model (TOM). The core teams within ICT serve as the backbone of the department providing platform services infrastructure workplace solutions low-code platforms custom applications and data transport products to the internal organization.

Your role

As Product Owner Cloud Platform you are responsible for the vision and strategy of our Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) platforms. You will lead the development of a secure scalable and standardized cloud foundation that supports teams throughout the organization

You will work with a hybrid team of internal colleagues and external partners. This newly formed and growing team offers the opportunity to shape its structure build capabilities and embed knowledge within Vanderlande

You translate business needs into core cloud services such as landing zones automation frameworks cost management and security guardrails. As cloud adoption grows across the company your challenge is to raise the maturity of these services while ensuring a consistent and reliable cloud experience for all teams

Collaboration is essential in your role. You will work closely with the team other Product Owners architects and the scrum master to deliver high-quality solutions that support secure and efficient cloud adoption across the this collaboration there is room for you to support and mentor fellow Product Owners and therein contribute to strengthening our way of working as ICT Core within the Agile Release Train.

Your responsibilities

Acting as the Product Owner for the Cloud team this role involves the following key responsibilities and tasks

  • Collaborate with the Chief Product Owner on market research future features and functionalities to address new business needs
  • Take responsibility for the product vision and long-term roadmap of the Cloud Platform using Microsoft Azure and Oracle OCI
  • Align with key stakeholders across the business to encourage platform adoption
  • Work closely with the external supplier managing the platforms run component to support operations and collaborate on building activities for Azure and OCI services
  • Together with the Product Architect take responsibility for security and compliance of Azure and OCI services defining governance guardrails and processes
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to set priorities and align on dependencies
  • Partner with Product and System Architects to help define the product and produce cost and effort estimations
  • Manage release planning sprint goals sprint reviews/demos and refine both technical and business functionality across multiple development projects
  • Handle initiative conflicts challenges and evolving business requirements to deliver expected outcomes
  • Communicate with management and stakeholders on sprint and initiative milestones as well as product KPIs such as usage metrics of Azure and OCI services cost optimization system uptime and cloud security and compliance status
  • Conduct postmortems and root cause analyses with teams alongside retrospectives to continuously improve the development process

Your qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science Information Technology Business or equivalent
  • Experienced Product Owner with over 3 years of successfully delivering value in dynamic environments
  • Experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) is a strong plus.
  • Experience working in an international cross-cultural team is considered an advantage.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA Confluence etc.) is an advantage
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms is a plus
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate well within teams and influence across various organizational levels
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Results-driven with a hands-on approach and a focus on achieving goals
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English

This position offers a competitive salary range of 5449 to 7396gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.
