We identify and deliver lead strains to drive the development of new products across various business areas within Novonesis. Microbial Screening comprises four departments dedicated to maintaining and expanding the Novonesis Culture Collection as well as selecting lead candidates for a variety of food product areas by screening strain libraries using state-of-the-art screening technologies.
Join us as our new scientist in Strain Screening
Become part of a passionate team and make a difference using innovative technology. You will join a dedicated team of scientists and technicians based in Hrsholm. Together we focus on developing and utilizing high-throughput screening technology to analyze large biological libraries identifying and isolating promising candidates.
In this role youll make an impact by:
Contributing to our cross-functional new product development teams from early idea scoping to late stage and deliver the next generation innovative culture solutions focusing on Cheese Fresh Dairy Bioprotection and Plant-based food product categories.
Supporting the discovery of new biological solutions using state-of-the-art screening technology
Continuously advancing our screening platforms and exploring novel applications to drive innovation.
What Were Looking For:
Ph.D degree in Food Science Biotechnology or related field (e.g. microbiology)
Expertise in developing and optimizing assays for high-throughput screening
A passion for innovative technology combined with a commitment to continuous learning
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative and inclusive mindset.
Strong project management abilities ensuring timely and accurate completion of task(s).
Have excellent experimental planning and data analysis skills coupled with curiosity about digitalization advancements.
Experience in the following areas will be highly valued:
In-depth knowledge of cheese and yogurt fermentation processes.
Expertise in texture measurements
Programming skills and analysis of large datasets
