Are you ready to build a fulfilling career in the heart of beautiful Bar Harbor Maine Were seeking a dedicated and reliable Maintenance Associate to join our team at the Bar Harbor Grand Hotel. This full-time year-round position is perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving and takes pride in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for guests and staff alike.
As a Maintenance Associate youll be the go-to person for repairs upkeep and preventive maintenance. Youll ensure that our property operates smoothly and remains in top-notch condition delivering the quality experience our guests expect.

The schedule will vary and may include mornings evenings weekends and holidays. The starting wage is $20 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs across the hotel property including plumbing electrical HVAC and carpentry tasks.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure equipment and systems operate efficiently.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
- Ensure the property is clean safe and well-maintained at all times.
- Maintain tools equipment and work areas in good condition.
- Assist with seasonal projects including grounds maintenance and snow removal.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the management team.
Skills & Requirements:
- A positive team-oriented attitude with problem-solving skills.
- Experience in general maintenance including electrical plumbing and HVAC systems.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
- A valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent lifting bending and walking.
- Standing for extended periods.
- Climbing ladders and navigating stairs.
Performance Measurement:
- 90-day performance review annual performance review guest feedback and team collaboration.
